We believe organic farming reflects the spirit of California and we understand the significance of protecting the region and its environment including the organisms that depend on it for their survival. Sustainability is an integral element in how we approach growing and making wines at St. Avalo, and our respect for the land carries through in every step of the process. The results of our goals can be seen in many areas of our operations including water conservation, energy efficiency, composting and waste reduction.
It has often been believed by many that drinking small amounts of wine can be beneficial to ones overall health. In that vein, our grapes are grown using no detrimental chemicals or pesticides and stand up to the rigorous legal rules regarding this. And therefore our wines are natural and pure.
